Welcome, students!  The OSPA process is a wonderful opportunity to engage with scientists, discuss your work, and be provided with feedback regarding your presentation skills.  Students who indicated during the abstract submission process that they wished to be considered for the award can sign in at the right to confirm their participation.  Students cannot be added after the abstract submission deadline.

Students must confirm their participation by 12:00 EST 3 April 2013.  Students who do not confirm their participation will be deleted from the system thereafter.

If you do not wish to participate or cannot agree to the Honor Code, you do not need to contact AGU.  You will automatically be deleted from the system after 3 April 2013.

Honor Code

The purpose of this Honor Code is to establish rules and procedures of the American Geophysical Union governing student conduct with respect to the integrity of the Outstanding Student Paper Award program.  Students agree to the following:

  • They are the first author of their presentation.
  • They are a student pursuing an undergraduate, Master’s or PhD degree.  Postdoctoral researchers may not participate.
  • They do not know or are acquainted with their judges in any capacity and that they have not solicited personal nor professional contacts to serve as their judges.
