What is an ePoster?

At each Meeting of the Americas (previously known as Joint Assembly), hundreds of amazing posters are presented. This year, to provide even better access to this important content, AGU is offering authors the ability to display on this website an electronic version of the poster and a video. Each ePoster includes a discussion board which can be used to interact with the author; the author can also use the board to provide additional information about the research.

What kind of material can I submit?

ePoster materials can include:

  • an electronic version of your poster in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint format, or a PDF file; please note there is a strict 8MB file size limit;
  • video hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, etc.;
  • Avatar: 150×150 pixels. Only .jpg or .png file types

My PDF file exceeds the 8MB file size limit. How can I make it smaller?

To assist you in reducing the file size of your PDF, we have assembled the following instructions: http://moa.agu.org/2013/how-to-reduce-pdf-file-size.

Can I change the Avatar associated with my ePoster?

Yes! Choose an avatar that represents your research, your team, your institution, etc. All ePosters have the same default image unless you change it, so help your ePoster stand out in the search results by selecting an eye-catching image. Using your actual ePoster as your avatar is not recommended due to image dimension incompatibilities and file size limitations. (Avatars are small, square images, best replaced with an image other than the ePoster.)

I need to withdraw from the program. Will I have the opportunity to participate in ePosters?

How can I obtain additional assistance?
